FIRE

Today I saw my mother cry. As tears rolled down her cheek and as she wept with so much pain inside her, I couldn't even look at her without wailing. But I neither blinked nor turned away, not even once.  My heart shattered into a million pieces and it felt like it would never mend back again. As she sobbed with pain in her eyes a burning fire burned in me. I could feel it. It sometimes burnt up till my throat which almost choked me. The throbbing realization hit me that no one, not even a single soul mattered to me more than her. Suddenly all made sense now, as if by magic. At this point, in my mind, I had the ability to vividly prioritize. It was as though someone tried to mumble something to me, it came from far, FAR back of my head, yet it felt rather close to me.  The voice tried to tell me something. Something powerful and insightful. It made...

Pride and Prejudice | My thoughts| By Jane Austen

Image
Hey everyone! I'm back with another post. My passion is literature. I love reading American/ Indian feministic novels. So, here are my thoughts about the famous "Pride and Prejudice" By Jane Austen, which I'm pretty sure everyone knows about. The reason why it's Britain's favorite book is because it's a beautifully written feministic novel, which was actually written during 1797, where most woman didn't have their basic inalienable rights. Although, this book was written two centuries before, it's still cherished and embraced by people all around the world.  Story plot: The story plot revolves around Elizabeth (Lizzy) of the Bennet family. Being born in a society like that, women are denied of having dreams, and are forced and encouraged on getting married to a man. Elizabeth spends most of her time in her father's library acquiring knowledge.  When she stumbles upon Fitzwilliam Darcy for the first time in a ball, she writes him off as an arr...

The power of habits| Atomic Habits| Book summary

Image
(Atomic Habits by James Clear.) Do you realize what you do when you unconsciously type your password on the phone as soon as you open it?  How about the time when as soon as you enter a dark room, you immediately tend to switch on the light? These are some of the instances from our daily life which proves the significance and power of habits and routines.  A study showed that cats were used in an experiment, they were basically trapped in a box where they have to overcome some kind of hindrance to open the door to their delicious treat. The box was designed in such a way that if you press a lever it would open. At first, the cat was very impatient and it pondered around the box, once it figured out that the door would open if it pressed that lever, the next time and next to next time the cat was placed in the box, it took lesser and lesser time for it to escape out of it.  The sole concept of habits is that your body would automatically do something over repeated times of...
